  • 11 US nuclear reactors are at reduced capacity.
  • 7 of the 98 US nuclear reactors listed on the NRC’s daily report are not operating (Including Three Mile Island, which has closed). Non-operating reactors are listed in our US Reactor Status table.

Diablo Canyon reported a technical specification required shutdown.

Susquehanna reported a manual reactor scram due to rising condenser backpressure.

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission has received notice from Southern Nuclear Operating Company that the company plans to load nuclear fuel into the Vogtle Unit 3 reactor in Waynesboro, Ga., beginning in late November 2020. The company has also submitted notifications describing the completion of inspections and other actions required before the beginning of the fuel load.
