Current status of U.S. nuclear power plants:
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission’s Current Power Reactor Status Report was posted on October 7. The last recorded status is as follows:
- 13 US nuclear reactors are at reduced capacity.
- 11 of the 95 US nuclear reactors listed on the NRC’s daily report are not operating (Including two at Indian Point, which have closed). Non-operating reactors are listed in our US Reactor Status table.
