The Nuclear Regulatory Commission’s Current Power Reactor Status Report was posted on August 5. The last recorded status is as follows: 

  • 4 US nuclear reactors are at reduced capacity.
  • 2 of the 92 US nuclear reactors listed on the NRC’s daily report are not operating. Non-operating reactors are listed in our US Reactor Status table.

NRC News releases: 

Nuclear Regulatory Commission officials in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, have assigned Gene DiPaolo as the new senior resident inspector at the Calvert Cliffs nuclear power plant in Lusby, Maryland. He joins NRC Resident Inspector Sarah Obadina at the two-unit site operated by Constellation Nuclear.
