Current status of U.S. nuclear power plants:
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission’s Current Power Reactor Status Report was posted on October 22. The last recorded status is as follows:
- 10 US nuclear reactors are at reduced capacity.
- 20 of the 95 US nuclear reactors listed on the NRC’s daily report are not operating (Including two at Indian Point, which have closed). Non-operating reactors are listed in our US Reactor Status table.
Event Reports from Reactors:
Palo Verde reported valid specified system actuations of unit 1 and unit 3 emergency diesel generators.
Callaway issued a fitness-for-duty report.
Wolf Creek reported a fitness-for-duty violation due to discovery of alcohol in the protected area.
